Green Works imported its first shipments of plant materials in 2002. By 2009, the production nursery had grown to the extent that it boasted an extensive collection of plant species grown on site, which meant the team no longer needed to import plant materials from abroad to supplement demand.
At present Green Works boasts an impressive range of over 500 cultivated plant species, having conducted extensive R&D trials on more than 1,800 varieties over the past 5 years; this is a huge improvement over the original 120 species that were readily available to the public in 2003. Green Works' success and remarkable growth as a core pillar of the Al Barari development is a testament to the hard work, dedication and effort put in by the team.
Al Barari is an organic group in all senses of the word. Its distinctive new ideas are tried and tested internally before they are put into production.
